Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Miami College of Engineering is a thriving program of undergraduates, graduate students, and faculty with a commitment to exploration, innovation and engineering excellence. Our Faculty's engineering research strengths include aerospace and aerodynamics, combustion engines and heat transfer, as well as mechanics, materials and design. Our Faculty members collaborate on interdisciplinary research projects and are externally-funded through federal, foundation and industry grants.

Our faculty’s research in this area focuses on the development of aerospace and aerodynamics that includes experimental, computational and theoretical studies.
Our faculty’s research in this area focuses on combustion engines and heat transfer by improving models of combustion processes, experimental data, as well as the discovery of new phenomena.

Our faculty’s research in this area includes the development of mechanics, materials and design to advance the engineering knowledge base, which will lead to new processes and products.
