Student can study a sequence of courses to provide an option in specialized areas such as aerospace engineering, environmental engineering, automotive engineering, biomedical engineering, energy engineering, and HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning) systems. 
The program is open to students who want to pursue a career in mechanical engineering and professionals who have responsibilities in the engineering, architecture, business, medicine and law fields.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering offers courses and provides facilities for three programs of graduate study and research, leading to the degrees of Master of Science, Doctor of Philosophy, and Doctor of Arts.
