From advanced aircraft to high-efficiency engines, the Aerodynamics, Combustion, and Propulsion cluster investigates how fluids move and interact under extreme conditions. This group explores phenomena such as high-speed airflow, turbulent mixing, and energy release through chemical reactions, using both experimental methods and high-fidelity simulations. With access to a subsonic wind tunnel and high-performance computing resources, researchers collaborate across engineering, medicine, and marine science to push the frontiers of propulsion, aerodynamics, and flow control.
