The AFMCP group studies the properties of moving fluids and interactions between the fluids via chemical reactions or the introduction of solid objects. This group uses experiments and computational analysis to predict the performance of the working fluid. The cluster will be composed of a group of faculty and students within the MAE department and affiliates in BME, the new CEM department, the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science and the Miller School of Medicine. The AFMCP group has access to a subsonic wind tunnel as well as supercomputers maintained by the Institute for Data Science and Computing.
